Maple Glazed Sausages ‘n’ Mash

Ingredients
6 Alternative Meat Co. Sausages
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 red onion, cut into thick wedges
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1/3 cup (80ml) maple syrup
1/4 cup sage leaves
To Serve:
Mashed
potato
, with sour cream and chives
Steamed greens
Method
Preheat pan or BBQ grill to medium heat and add oil. Cook sausages and cook for 7-9 minutes, turning frequently until golden brown.
In a separate pan, add the onion and cook, stirring occasionally, for 3 mins or until onion just softens.
Add garlic, maple syrup and sage to the second pan with onion. Bring to a simmer, uncovered, for 3 mins or until syrup thickens.
Divide the mashed potato and steamed greens among serving plates. Top with the sausage and glazed sauce mixture to serve.
