Serves 4


For the courgette ribbons:

  • 2 courgettes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh coriander, chopped
  • 1/2 fresh red chilli, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the hot dogs:

  • 350g Alt Meat Co. Alternative Sausage (6 Pack)
  • 6 Fresh Hot Dog Buns


  1. Slice the courgettes into long ribbons  using a mandoline slicer.
  2. To cook the courgette ribbons, heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Add garlic and courgettes and toss through oil until courgettes are slightly soft (4-5 minutes). Add the coriander and chilli, then season to taste with salt and pepper.
  3. To cook the dogs, heat a gas or charcoal grill to medium heat. Add the Alt Meat Co. Alternative Sausages, turning frequently, cook for 7-10 minutes or until golden brown. Add the buns to the grill, cook for approx. 30 seconds or until warmed and crisp with light grill lines.
  4. To serve, top each hot dog bun with courgette ribbons and your favourite hot dog sauces. Garnish with fresh coriander. Serve immediately.
