For a more tender, saucier product, add one tablespoon of vegetable oil and ½ cup of water OR ½ a cup of your favourite vegetable stock. Stir fry in a pan until the sauce reduces down and thickens and the product is well coated and heated through.
Don’t cook these beef-free chunks too long, or they’ll get tough. If you're cooking without a sauce, add a tablespoon of cooking oil and half a cup of water while cooking to ensure that the meat is kept tender. The chunks may take a bit longer than the strips to brown.
Use them to replace beef in a wide range of dishes such as wraps, stir-fry, shish kebabs, curries, sandwiches, stroganoff and pizza.
